Sara Spanu

Sara Spanu is PhD in Social Sciences. She is an urban sociologist and currently she is postdoc researcher at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Her main research topics are related to sustainable policies and civic participation. She is member of BASE (Bicocca Ambiente Società Economia РBicocca Environment Society Economy) and cooperates with OSCRIM (Social Observatory on Crime in Sardinia) of the University of Sassari. She is secretary and member of the scientific committee of AIS Territory Section and she is part of the ESA Network of Urban Sociologists.

Abstract

RETHINKING MOBILITY WITHIN UNIVERSITY: THE BASE APPROACH TO SUSTAINABLE BEHAVIOURS

BASE (Bicocca Environment Society Economy) is dedicated to foster environmental sustainability within the University of Milano Bicocca. BASE takes a holistic approach to sustainability in different areas, among which stands mobility management. Such an approach is aimed at providing, restricting, persuading and finally innovating the behaviours of university population.
