Rui Velasco

Rui Velasco as a member of the Institute for Mobility and Transport (IMT) team, acts to push the Portuguese transport and mobility systems to a higher level of sustainability and intelligence. Participating on a set of European projects (Prosperity, How2Go, IDACS, DATA4PT, Cooperative Streets), evaluating the Fare Reduction Support Programme (PART), promoting the  national survey on sustainable mobility planning, developing the national system for public transport data (SIGGESC) and coordinating the transport work group for the National Strategy for Climate Change Adaptation, are all different sides of his daily commitment towards a cleaner and more intelligent mobility. He holds an MSc in Geography.

PLANNING OF SUSTAINABLE URBAN MOBILITY TOOL FOR MUNICIPALITIES ON HOW TO SUPPORT CHANGES OF NEW MOBILITY PLANNING AND TRAVEL BEHAVIOUR

Czech cities focus their transport planning on sustaining mobility of their citizens and visitors. They will have a new mobility planning tool at disposal, providing them with information for decision-making, offering mobility management solutions. The tool is designed in cooperation with Czech cities and replies to their planning needs.
