Rui Nunes

Rui Pedro Lopes Nunes Graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon in 1999. In 2002 he completed is training at Dr. João Vale de Andrade Law Office in Lisbon and was Admitted to the Portuguese Lawyers Association.

Further to his graduation in Law he has completed some courses: Advanced Program of Management and Leadership at ISCTE Executive Education and Infraestruturas de Portugal Academy (2018) and Post-Graduate Course in Administrative Property Law (2019/2020) at Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon.

He began his professional activity in Consumer’s Law at DECO Pro Teste – Consumer defence.

In 2005 he joined REFER – Rede Ferroviária Nacional, performing legal advice and litigation functions in both administrative and civil law.

Currently, he is part of the Legal Advisory Department of Infraestruturas de Portugal, acting, namely, in the area of Administrative and Civil Law, studies of legislative impact assessment, legislation projects, and as Infraestruturas de Portugal representative at the UIC (International Union of Railways) Legal Group.

Abstract

ADAPTING ROAD LAW TO NEW MOBILITY TRENDS

Setting up new rules requires a deep knowledge of the reality being addressed; legislators need to understand what is subjacent to their work in order to have a broad view and clear understanding of the different possible approaches, especially of those that are truly viable, sustainable and achievable.
