Boyd Cohen obtained his PhD in strategy and entrepreneurship in the University of Colorado in 2001. Since then he has balanced academic and entrepreneurial pursuits in the Americas and Europe. He has published three books on sustainable entrepreneurship and urban innovation and dozens of peer reviewed articles. After moving to Barcelona in 2015 Boyd became Dean of Research at EADA Business School. Boyd co-founded Iomob in 2017 and left academia behind in 2018 to further develop their next generation enterprise Mobility as a Service solution offered to major public and private transportation and travel industry organizations. Iomob has won several mobility industry awards, participated in prestigious accelerators including Techstars and Wayra and has deployed its technology integrating major public and private mobility services in Spain, Sweden, the UK and New Zealand.
TOWARDS A CONNECTED EUROPE INTERNET OF MOBILITY ENABLING AN OPEN, INTEROPERABLE AND DECENTRALIZED MAAS ECOSYSTEM
An Internet of Mobility would allow any vehicle: public, privately owned, shared, autonomous, to be discoverable, included routed, booked and paid for by any user of any app connected to the Internet of Mobility. Iomob has already commenced a 4 phase journey to enable an open, interoperable decentralized MaaS ecosystem.
