Aristos Halatsis

Aristos Halatsis holds an MSc in Logistics and Transportation and an MBA. He is a Senior Project Manager with CERTH/HIT with more than 20 years of professional experience in the area of logistics & freight transport management. Aristos has served as an expert/evaluator to a number of EU Programmes, among which the TEN‐T CEF, the Marco Polo II, the Information Society (ICT for Transport) Programmes. He has also served as a consultant to the IFC/World Bank on logistics issues, and as the CEO of one of the Greek Port Authorities of the TEN-T network. He is currently the Technical Coordinator of the H2020 SPROUT (Sustainable Policy RespOnse to Urban mobility
Transition) project.

Abstract

DEVELOPING CITY SCENARIOS FOR URBAN MOBILITY TRANSITION: THE SPROUT PROJECT

The rapidly changing urban mobility environment – characterized by emerging business models, new technologies, and disruptive innovations – represents a considerable challenge for urban mobility policy making. Previously tested urban mobility policy responses turned out not to be adequate to address the transition underway and to address today´s societal challenges and issues related to citizens’ everyday lives.
